WINDHOEK, 5 November 2026 – The Petroleum Training and Education Fund (PETROFUND), in partnership with TotalEnergies Exploration and Production Namibia (TEEPNA), has announced the opening of applications for its 2027 Broad-Based Scholarship Programme, offering talented and high-performing Namibians an opportunity to pursue fully funded tertiary education.
The programme is aimed at developing skilled Namibian professionals through access to undergraduate and postgraduate studies in fields that contribute to national development.
According to a media release issued on 4 November 2026, the scholarships will support studies in education, health, economic empowerment, biodiversity and environmental sustainability, in line with TotalEnergies’ corporate social responsibility commitments and Namibia’s National Upstream Local Content Policy.
Through the partnership, PETROFUND and TotalEnergies seek to strengthen Namibia’s human capital by equipping citizens with scarce and critical skills needed to advance key sectors, including education, healthcare, food security and environmental management.
The programme is open to Namibian citizens who meet the academic requirements for their respective programmes. Both undergraduate and postgraduate candidates may apply, provided their chosen fields of study are included in the scholarship advertisement and they satisfy the relevant admission and selection criteria.
Applications can be submitted online through the PETROFUND scholarship portal at https://esaspetrfund.org.
Applicants without internet access can obtain manual application forms from their nearest Regional Council offices and submit completed applications by post, courier or email to petrofund@namcor.com.na.
The scholarship offers full funding, except where subsidised funding arrangements are already in place.
The application deadline is Friday, 6 November 2026, at 23:59.
PETROFUND and TotalEnergies have encouraged eligible Namibians to take advantage of the opportunity to advance their education, acquire critical skills and contribute to the country’s development.
