On August 22, 2025, Hon. Selma Ashipala-Musavyi, Namibia’s Minister of International Relations and Trade, met with Vinmart Group from the Democratic Republic of Congo a diverse conglomerate active in mining, construction, manufacturing, and housing. The Minister welcomed Vinmart’s keen interest in Namibia, emphasizing the company’s alignment with Namibia’s national agenda of shifting from raw material exports to value added industries that directly benefit its citizens.
The dialogue centered on expanding cooperation in key sectors including mining, housing, agro-processing machinery, vocational training, and construction. Both parties identified strong potential for future partnerships that promise to accelerate Namibia’s economic transformation.
