Namibian President Congratulates Benin on 65 Years of Independence

Windhoek, Aug 3 — On the occasion of Benin’s 65th Independence Day, Her Excellency Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, President of the Republic of Namibia, extended warm congratulations to His Excellency president Patrice Talon and the people of Benin.

In her message, President Nandi-Ndaitwah highlighted the rich culture, unity, and resilience that define the Beninese nation. She praised Benin’s inspiring journey of growth and development since gaining independence, emphasizing the country’s progress.

The President also underscored the strong and mutually beneficial relationship between Namibia and Benin. This partnership has been further enhanced by the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA), which fosters increased economic cooperation across the continent.

President Nandi-Ndaitwah reaffirmed her commitment to working closely with President Talon to unlock new opportunities and deepen collaboration between the two countries for the benefit of their peoples.

This message reflects the enduring spirit of solidarity and partnership that continues to unite Namibia and Benin as they celebrate milestones and look toward a prosperous future together.
