Walvis Bay, Namibia, Nov 18 – Grindrod demonstrated its ongoing commitment to enriching the lives of the communities in which it operates, by hosting handover ceremonies at two rural schools in the Erongo Region. The ceremonies took place at Da-Palm Senior Secondary School and at Okombahe Gaob Dr. Justus Garoeb High School. Each school was presented with essential technology resources, including laptops, projectors, printers, boxes of paper and projector screens. This generous donation, a result of a collaboration between Grindrod and the Ministry of Education, was celebrated with key community leaders in attendance.

Ms. Goagoses, Inspector of Education for the Walvis Bay Circuit, joined dignitaries such as Chief J Mujahere of the Ovaherero Traditional Authority and Chief J Seibeb of the Tsoaxudama Traditional Authority at the ceremonies. School leadership, including Ms. E. Jeomba, Principal of Da Palm SS, and Dr. Ausbert Siboli, Principal of Goaob Dr. Justus Garoeb SS, were also present to receive the valuable resources.
“These resources will significantly enhance the learning environment and open up new opportunities for both students and teachers,” said Johny Smith, CEO of Grindrod’s Rail division. “Grindrod is dedicated to supporting initiatives that empower education and contribute to a better learning experience for the next generation.”
