On 22 August 2025, Hon. Sanet L. Steenkamp, Minister of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture, paid a courtesy visit to Kavango East Regional Governor, Hon. Julius Hamunyera Hambyuka. During the meeting, Governor Hambyuka updated the delegation on key regional initiatives.
The visiting group included representatives from UNAM, the Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture, and the Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Land Reform. They are on a collaborative mission to assess and revitalise strategic agricultural facilities, aiming to strengthen the region’s development and improve livelihoods.
