ACCRA, July 23 — The winner of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations will receive a record 2 million U.S. dollars in prize money, Confederation of African Football President Patrice Motsepe announced on Wednesday. The winner’s prize has doubled from the previous edition, while the tournament’s total prize fund has increased by 67 percent from 3.475 million dollars to 5.8 million dollars. Each of the 16 participating teams will receive 150,000 dollars in participation funding, up 20 percent from the 125,000 dollars paid at the previous tournament.
