Thank you and safe travel back home

Windhoek, Oct 11 — President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, joined by Her Excellency Lucia Witbooi, Vice President of the republic of Namibia yesterday bids farewell to President Duma Gideon Boko at State House, following the successful conclusion of the Second Session of the Namibia–Botswana Bi-National Commission (BNC). 

In her closing remarks, President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah expressed her deep sense of pride and hope for the future as the gathering served as a key moment in strengthening the ties between the two vibrant nations. 

“This gathering has been extraordinary, serving as a key moment in strengthening the ties between our two vibrant nations. It is inspiring to reflect on how our discussions have improved our bilateral relationship and opened new opportunities for collaboration,”  the President stated. 

She thanked the senior officials and ministers for their hard work and dedication in the production the comprehensive report that will serve as roadmap in outlining the state the two countries’ bilateral cooperation with clarity and insight. 

Furthermore, the President stated that the signing of eight new Memoranda of Understanding during this Session represents a significant deepening of our partnership and a clear expression of our collective will to expand cooperation into new areas of strategic importance, from energy resources and employment and labour, to science, technology, and innovation.

In conclusion, President Nandi-Ndaitwah thanked President Boko for his leadership, friendship, and commitment to the shared prosperity of our two nations. 

“The openness that has characterized our engagements this week reflect the true spirit of the Namibia–Botswana good neighborliness. The spirit of teamwork among our Ministers, senior officials and experts has motivated a common goal to elevate our relationship to new levels,” President Nandi-Ndaitwah stated.
