PRESIDENT NETUMBO NANDI – NDAITWAH APPOINTS AMBASSADOR LINEEKELA J. MBOTI AS THE FOCAL POINT AND CEO OF THE APRM IN NAMIBIA

H.E. Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, President of the Republic of Namibia, has appointed Ambassador Lineekela Josephat Mboti as Namibia’s Focal Point and Chief Executive Officer of the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM), effective 1 September 2025. Ambassador Mboti brings a wealth of experience in international relations, diplomacy and governance having led the APRM Namibia Chapter from April 2019, where he successfully coordinated Namibia’s first Country Review Report and

 the Targeted Review on Youth Unemployment. His distinguished diplomatic career includes serving as Deputy Executive Director for Multilateral Relations and Cooperation at the Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation (2015–2019), Ambassador to Brazil with concurrent accreditation to nine South American nations (2010–2014), and Ambassador to Angola (2003–2010). Consummate diplomat since 1990, Ambassador Mboti holds a master’s degree in Diplomatic and Strategic Studies (Magna Cum Laude ) from the International University in Vienna. In recognition of his outstanding service, he was awarded the Grand Officer of the Most Distinguished Order of Namibia, Second Class, in 2024.

H.E Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah extends her best wishes to Ambassador Mboti in his new role and expressed confidence in his ability to strengthen Namibia’s engagement with the APRM and advance the country’s good governance agenda.
