President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah is participating in the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) session, which is being held alongside the 80th UN General Assembly.
This involvement highlights Namibia’s commitment to fostering a sustainable, inclusive, and resilient global economy, in line with the Pact for the Future. The initiative, which includes the Biennial Summit on Financing for Development, seeks to unite world leaders and multilateral institutions around shared goals for sustainable development.
For Namibia, this global agenda closely aligns with our Sixth National Development Plan (NDP6), which emphasizes inclusive growth, climate resilience, food security, sustainable industrialization, and strong international partnerships. By synchronizing national development efforts with global cooperation, Namibia is dedicated to ensuring that its citizens benefit from a fairer and more equitable international system.
