Quoting the Founding Father, the late Dr. Sam Nujoma, “A nation that cannot feed itself will never be respected,” President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah added, “And I do not want to lead a nation that is not respected.”
With these words, the President concluded her nationwide tour of Namibia’s Green Schemes at the Etunda Irrigation Project in the Omusati Region. Reaffirming agriculture as the country’s foremost development priority, President Nandi-Ndaitwah commended Etunda’s model of integrating small and medium-scale farmers and underscored the Government’s commitment to agriculture as the backbone of national development and food security.
“We want to be respected by producing our own food to support other industries, and we must be united in this mission,” President Nandi-Ndaitwah emphasized.
