During the Women, Peace and Security Silver Anniversary Fireside Chat, moderated by H.E. Hopolang Phororo, United Nations Namibia Resident Coordinator, President Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah reflected on the power of political will, courage and inclusivity in advancing the Women, Peace and Security Agenda.
She emphasized the importance of being teachable and patient, and the need for leaders to pass on the baton to the younger generation while never feeling insecure when others also display leadership qualities.
Drawing from her own journey from the liberation struggle to the presidency, she reminded the audience that peacebuilding requires persistence, courage and collective effort. True leadership inspires others to continue the journey toward equality, peace and stability.
