Plane crash kills 6 in Zimbabwe

HARARE, Sept. 30 — Six people died when a light aircraft crashed in Mashava village in Zimbabwe’s southeastern Masvingo Province Friday morning, state broadcaster ZBC reported. According to the broadcaster, the plane, which belonged to the country’s leading mining company RioZim, was traveling from Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe, to Murowa diamond mine in Zvishavane in Midlands Province. The pilot died in the crash which is suspected to have been caused by a technical problem, ZBC said.
