Nedbank Namibia has secured a significant funding deal with Achill Island Investments (Pty) Ltd, a prominent agricultural company in the Aussenkehr Valley, to advance sustainable farming and economic development. This strategic partnership will support Achill Island and its sister farm, Silverlands Vineyards, in expanding their operations, which cover over 900 hectares of table grapes and date palms, providing premium produce globally and employing around 4,000 seasonal workers.
The collaboration underscores Nedbank’s commitment to promoting agriculture a cornerstone of Namibia’s economy through supporting innovative and sustainable farming practices. Silverlands, part of a broader Southern and East African agricultural group, also empowers smallholder farmers across sub-Saharan Africa with resources and market access, fostering agricultural transformation.
