Windhoek, March 28 –His Excellency Dr. Nangolo Mbumba in his Easter message this after he urged Namibian to recommit to the value of compassion, sacrifice and care for one another peacefully. In the Christian calendar, Easter is a period of commemoration and reflection about the deeds of sacrifice, compassion and love. Namibia is a Christian nation and it is for that reason that we observe this special weekend in our calendar.
”In commemorating the Easter weekend, I encourage Namibians to recommit to the values of compassion, sacrifice and care for one another as we collectively build a peaceful, safe and prosperous Namibian House. Steer clear of any conduct that is hurtful towards the interests of other Namibians, drive safely and show respect towards law enforcement officers. I also encourage law enforcement to redouble their efforts to ensure that we have a crime-free weekend. I wish you all in the Christian family a Happy and Safe Easter Weekend.” he concluded.
