Namibia unveils Presidential Portrait of the fourth President

Windhoek, July 28 — The Government of the Republic of Namibia through the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology on Wednesday, 24 July 2024 unveiled the portrait of His Excellency Dr. Nangolo Mbumba, fourth President of Namibia, following the recent transition in leadership due to the passing of President Dr. Hage G. Geingob.

The Ministry said ”the portrait symbolizes not only individual who now hold the highest office the country but also embodies our nation’s aspirations, values and collective hopes”. ”Accordingly, Government of the Republic of Namibia would like to inform the public that the official portrait of H.E Dr. Nangolo Mbumba, President of the Republic of Namibia is now available for display in public and private entities.

The portrait of H.E Dr. Nangolo Mbumba will now replace that of the late President Dr. Hage G.Geingob. The portrait of the Founding President, Dr. Sam Nujoma, will continue to hang alongside President Mbumba.

The Namibia Press Agency (NAMPA) will be the exclusive producer and distributor of the new Presidential portrait, available in A2 size at N$1800.00 for framed and N$500.00 for unframed portraits. The portraits can also be purchased from the Ministry’s regional offices countrywide. Furthermore, the public is informed that the portrait of the Vice President, H.E. Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, is available in soft copy and can be provided on request by the Ministry.
