Namibia to Commemorate 35th Heroes’ Day in Zambezi Region

On Tuesday, 26 August 2025, Namibia will mark the 35th Heroes’ Day at the Katima Mulilo Sports Complex in the Zambezi region. This year’s commemoration is held under the inspiring theme, “Built on Bravery, Bound for a Prosperous Future.”

Preparations are well underway for a memorable event featuring a variety of cultural and musical performances that celebrate the nation’s heritage and courage. The ceremony will be officiated by His Excellency Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, President of the Republic of Namibia.

To ensure wide public participation, transportation services will be provided around the Zambezi region with designated pick-up points announced on the Ministry of Information, Communication and Technology’s (MICT) social media platforms and Namibia Broadcasting Corporation’s (NBC) TV and radio language services.

For those unable to attend in person, the event will be live streamed on MICT’s Facebook page and broadcast live on NBC TV and radio, making it accessible to Namibians nationwide.

The public is encouraged to join in large numbers to honor the bravery and sacrifices of Namibia’s heroes as the nation looks forward to a promising future.
