Namibia Football Association mourns its General Secretary

WINDHOEK, March 8 — The Namibia Football Association (NFA) Tuesday confirmed the passing on of its General Secretary, Charles Siyauya, who passed away on Monday at a local hospital. Siyauya began his tenure with the NFA in April 2024 and was tasked, alongside the Executive Council, with the monumental responsibility of ensuring the growth and development of Namibian football. “His commitment and passion to support the Executive Council strategic plan to increase the positive trajectory of Namibian football will be sorely missed,” said the NFA in a statement. Born in March 1976 in Schuckmannsburg in Kabbe, North Constituency in the Zambezi region, he would have marked his golden jubilee on March 10. “The NFA would like to convey its sincere condolences to the children, the Siyauya family and all the football family in Namibia and internationally,” the NFA added. Meanwhile, the NFA announced that Cassius Moeti has been appointed to serve as the Acting General Secretary.
