Tim Ekandjo Chief Brand, Marketing , Communications & Sustainability Officer, announced a significant rebranding and strategic relaunch of the MTC Kasi Vibe festival focusing on youth entrepreneurship, SME development and entertainment.
Addressing concerns over past perceptions of the event being associated mainly with youth alcohol consumption, Ekandjo emphasized that the new MTC Kasi Vibe aims to showcase business opportunities alongside vibrant entertainment. “We want the MTC Kasi Vibe not only to attract local attendees but also to draw visitors from neighboring southern African countries,” he said.
The event is now under a revamped structure and strategy and is set to take place in August 2026, allowing ample time for thorough planning. Ekandjo explained that the Kasi Vibe has transformed into a new chamber called MTC kasi Vibe, reinforcing a unified national identity with the tagline “the only one nation.”
Ekandjo extended a warm welcome to new partners joining the MTC brand, which has been respected for over 30 years for its commitment to excellence. He pledged a financial commitment of one million dollars toward the event, promising enhanced performances, organization, and overall quality that the MTC brand is known for.
The upcoming 10th edition will be branded as the first MTC Kasi Vibe and promises to deliver an upgraded experience. Meanwhile the 9th edition set to happen soon, is expected to feature spectacular activities described by Ekandjo as “fireworks.”
He concluded by expressing enthusiasm for the partnership and the bright future ahead for the MTC Kasi Vibe.
