Ministry of Education Leads Regional Consultation on Teaching Profession Bill in Keetmanshoop

The Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sport, Arts and Culture (MEIYSAC), in partnership with UNICEF and UNESCO, will host the first regional consultation on the Teaching Profession Bill and its accompanying Regulations. This pivotal event is scheduled for 15 September 2025 at the Schutzenhause Hotel in Keetmanshoop, //Kharas Region.

This consultation marks the start of a nationwide engagement process designed to gather valuable input from diverse education stakeholders, including teachers, learners, parents, and the general public. The purpose is to refine the Teaching Profession Bill a legislative framework committed to enhancing the professional status and capacity of educators across Namibia.

MEIYSAC extends an invitation to all news editors and media representatives to attend and cover this important gathering. The Ministry recognizes the vital role of the media in amplifying stakeholder voices and fostering transparent, inclusive dialogue as Namibia moves towards strengthening its teaching profession.
