The Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports,Arts and Culture is proud to announce the official inauguration of a modern hostel facility at Ndoro Memorial Combined School in the Zambezi Region.
Her Excellency, President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, officiated at the handover ceremony, accompanied by the Minister of Education,Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture Hon. Sanet L. Steenkamp on 27 August 2025.
The facility will accommodate 320 learners, 160 boys and 160 girls providing a safe and supportive environment for learners who previously had to travel long distances.
The construction project commenced on 10 August 2016 and was completed on 2 May 2025.
It includes:
- A matron’s house with two sick bays, one for boys and one for girls.
- A multi-purpose hall with a seating capacity of 400.
- Sustainable energy solutions, including solar power, a standby generator, and future connection to the national grid.
- Three boreholes to provide water for both the school and the surrounding community.
- A sewer treatment plant, with treated water available for irrigation.
