Windhoek, November 27 — The Office of the Judiciary (OOJ) has partnered with Mobile Telecommunications Ltd (MTC) as its digital partner for cloud hosting services, showcasing strong trust in a local digital service provider.
Following a competitive procurement process, MTC was awarded the contract to deliver a comprehensive, enterprise-grade cloud service. This includes managing bundled virtual machines, cloud resources, and services tailored to meet the Judiciary’s needs.
Mr. Innocent Kandandu, Deputy Executive Director of the Judiciary, emphasized that the partnership will equip the Office with a more agile and resilient digital infrastructure. This upgrade aims to improve public service by guaranteeing reliable access to justice and efficient management of cases. “We remain steadfast in strengthening the legal system and enhancing public trust through innovation and empowerment of local service providers,” he said.
Elton Katangolo, MTC General Manager for Sales, Enterprise & CRM, stated, “The Judiciary is a pillar of great importance to our society, and we are proud to have been selected as their digital partner. Our cloud infrastructure provides a robust, secure, and scalable solution that safeguards critical data and complies with regulatory requirements.”
Katangolo also highlighted MTC’s commitment to offering affordable, secure cloud hosting services to Namibian institutions. “We have invested purposefully in world-class cloud infrastructure that ensures scalability, flexibility, and seamless data management, ultimately boosting efficiency.”
He noted the risks and limitations of traditional physical servers and encouraged more institutions to migrate to cloud computing to foster growth and innovation. “We commend the Judiciary for its forward-looking approach to service delivery and urge other institutions to follow suit.”
