Equatorial Guinean president discusses football development with CAF president.

YAOUNDE, April 11 — Equatorial Guinea President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo on Tuesday evening held discussions on football development with the president of Confederation of African Football (CAF), Patrice Motsepe, according to Information and Press Office of Equatorial Guinea.
Motsepe who arrived in the Central African nation early Tuesday expressed the need to promote sporting activities from the base in the country through the construction of sports academies that could help in the discovery of talent and the training of future footballers.
Information and Press Office of Equatorial Guinea said that Motsepe revealed that CAF would like Equatorial Guinea to host Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in 2028 or 2030.
The country has already hosted two editions of AFCON in 2012 and 2015.
Motsepe is on a tour of four countries including Sao Tome and Principe, Equatorial Guinea, Guinea-Bissau and Morocco, according to CAF.
