Beijing, July 10 – China has commended Namibia’s SWAPO Party for incorporating the concept of “socialism with Namibian characteristics” into its party constitution, describing the move as a reflection of the country’s commitment to pursuing a development path tailored to its national conditions.
China also expressed its support for President Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah in leading the SWAPO Party along a sustainable development path that aligns with Namibia’s national interests and long-term development goals.
Furthermore, China reaffirmed its support for Namibia in safeguarding its national sovereignty, security, and socio-economic development interests. Beijing also reiterated its backing for Namibia’s efforts to firmly oppose external interference in its internal affairs.
The remarks underscore the continued strengthening of relations between Namibia and China, with both countries reaffirming their commitment to mutual respect, sovereignty, and cooperation in pursuit of shared development objectives.
