The book “She Stands for Peace,” authored by H.E. Liberata Mulamula, the African Union Special Envoy on Women, Peace and Security, was launched in Windhoek on October 16, 2025. The launch event took place during the Silver Anniversary commemoration of UN Security Council Resolution 1325, a landmark resolution that celebrates 25 years since its adoption and emphasizes the importance of women’s participation in peace and security efforts. This event was part of the broader celebrations and activities honoring this milestone under the theme of advancing the Women, Peace and Security agenda.
The book launch was a significant moment highlighting Ambassador Mulamula’s dedication to promoting gender equality and peacebuilding across Africa. The event included notable stakeholders and reinforced the AU’s and Namibia’s commitment to advancing the Women, Peace and Security agenda.
