Windhoek, Nov 7 – – H.E President Duma Gideon Boko, President of Botswana yesterday appointed Miss World Africa 2024, Miss Botswana 2022, Lesego Chombo to Parliament as part of the six special elected members of parliament nominated by the President of the Republic of Botswana.
Botswana Speaker of the National Assembly Hon. Phandu Skelemani announced the Specially Elected Members of Parliament which include: Ms. Bogolo Kenewendo,Mr. Moeti Mohwasa,Major Gen. Pius Mokgware, Dr Steven Modise, Ms. Lesego Chombo and Ms. Nono Kgafela-Mokoka.
The six specially elected members of parliament is in line with section 5 (2) of the first schedule of the Constitution.
