Gaborone, Sept 12 – The Bank of Botswana today marked its Golden Jubilee with a historic surprise, unveiling a newly designed P50 banknote featuring the image of Botswana’s Olympic gold medalist, Letsile Tebogo. The commemorative note not only celebrates the central bank’s 50 years of service but also honors a national icon whose achievement has brought pride and inspiration to the nation.
The new commemorative P50 banknote will circulate alongside the existing one and is released as a limited edition.
