Rundu, Sept 29 — Bernhard Tjatjara & Company Incorporated Legal Practitioners was yesterday announced as the Official sponsor of the 7th Edition of the 2024 Rundu Annual Trade Fair by the organizing Committee at the fundraising Gala Dinner to raise fund for the upcoming Annual Trade fair slated for the 27 of October to 5 November 2024. The law firm based in Rundu pledged N$100 000.00, Director Mr. Bernhard Tjatjara pledged an additional N$10 000.00 with four employees pledging N$1000.00 each bringing the total to N$114 000.00. Recon Africa pledged an amount of N$100 000.00, while Standard Bank Rundu branch pledged N$75000.00 and First National Bank Namibia pledged N$60 000.00.
The Fundraising Gala Dinner raised over 980 000.00 both in kind and cash surpassing last year’s figure of N$349600.00.
In his remark, Mr. Bernhard Tjatjara, Director of Bernhard Tjatjara & Company Incorporated Legal Practitioners quoted John F. Kennedy the 35th President of the United States, who once said: ”ask not what your country can do for you—ask what you can do for your country,” emphasizing the need for everyone to give back to the community they live in.
The event was attended by various who’s who of the various industries across the country and Government dignitaries including the Governor of the Kavango east Region, Hon. Bonifatius Wakudumo, the Mayor of Rundu Town, Hon. Gabriel Kanyanga,and other various dignitaries.
