Namibian President Extends Condolences to Tanzanian President Following Husband’s Passing

WINDHOEK, Sept 8 — President of Namibia, Her Excellency Dr Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, has expressed her deepest condolences to Tanzanian President Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan following the passing of her husband, Mr Hafidh Ameir.

In a message of condolence, President Nandi-Ndaitwah conveyed her sympathy to President Samia, her children, the bereaved family and the people of the United Republic of Tanzania during what she described as a difficult period.

The Namibian President acknowledged the profound sorrow that comes with the loss of a loved one, expressing hope that President Samia and her family would draw strength from the memories of the life they shared with Mr Ameir, as well as from the support and compassion of those around them.

President Nandi-Ndaitwah further reaffirmed Namibia’s solidarity with Tanzania during the period of mourning, highlighting the longstanding bonds between the two nations, forged through history, friendship and solidarity.

She said the people of Namibia join the people of Tanzania in mourning the loss and extended wishes of strength and comfort to the bereaved family.

“May the soul of Mr Hafidh Ameir rest in eternal peace,” President Nandi-Ndaitwah said in concluding her message.
