KAMPALA, Aug. 27 — Ugandan midfielder Rayn Figo Kizito has signed a two-year contract with Tunisian club ES Hammam Sousse.

“I am very happy that finally my dream of becoming a professional has come true and I promise to work hard to help my team win titles,” Kizito told Xinhua on Wednesday. The 21-year-old joins Hammam Sousse after two seasons at Uganda Premier League side Police FC, and said he was aware of the competitive nature of Tunisian football but was confident he could adapt and establish himself at his new club. Police FC head coach Matia Lule told Xinhua he was pleased to see Kizito secure the move to Tunisia. “Kizito has been one of the outstanding players for Police FC,” Lule said, adding that the move would benefit Kizito’s development while also creating further opportunities for Ugandan players to pursue professional careers abroad. Kizito becomes the third Ugandan currently playing in Tunisia’s top flight, joining CS Sfaxien pair Travis Mutyaba and Hakim Mutebi.
