MTC PLOUGHS IN N$1 MILLION TO KASI VIBE FESTIVAL

Windhoek, Dec 2 — MTC (Mobile Telecommunications Limited) has today announced a sponsorship commitment of N$1million per year for the next three years to Kasi Vibe, – becoming the naming right partner of the festival now known as MTC Kasi Vibe festival. 

Speaking at the announcement, MTC’s Chief Brand, Marketing, Communications and Sustainability Officer, Tim Ekandjo indicated that “MTC, through the sponsorship is proud to be adding value that unlock more opportunities for business community and Namibian creatives. We want this festival to grow and start attracting participants from neighbouring countries.” Ekandjo added “This is a vital marketplace for business, offering an opportunity for products and services exhibition to a broader audience, ultimately driving economic growth. Additionally, it gives opportunities to local talents while embracing diverse culture and unity.”

Ekandjo expressed that “MTC has long been committed to supporting various socio-economic sectors in Namibia, from education to health, sport and more. Our sponsorship of the MTC Kasi Vibe Festival is thus a testament to our ongoing dedication to aiding socio-economic affairs in the country. We believe in the power of community and the role that local businesses play in shaping our economy,” said Ekandjo. “By investing in the Kasi Vibe Festival, we are investing and supporting the dreams of aspiring, and current entrepreneurs and the creative space.”

At the event, Salmi Shigwedha of Kasi Vibe expressed gratitude to MTC for associating their brand with the Kasi flavour. “Today marks a historic moment for the Kasi Vibe Festival. It is with deep gratitude and excitement that we officially welcome MTC as our new Naming Rights Sponsor — a partnership that signifies belief, trust, and a shared commitment to uplifting the Namibian creativity and business community.” Shigwedha furthered that “MTC has always stood at the forefront of innovation, connectivity, youth empowerment, and cultural celebration, and these are the very values that breathe life into the Kasi Vibe experience.
