Her Excellency Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah visited the Namibia Grape Company (PTY) LTD in Aussenkehr, ||Kharas Region, to officially open the company’s new employee housing units.
During her familiarisation visit, President Nandi-Ndaitwah praised the Namibia Grape Company and Capespan for their successful agricultural projects aligned with the Eighth Administration’s priorities, especially the focus on sustainable food systems and socio-economic empowerment.
In her address, the President stressed the vital role of valuing and supporting employees, stating that businesses thrive when workers are treated with dignity. She emphasized that employment should uplift families, transform lives, and strengthen communities.
This visit underscores the Government’s dedication to improving livelihoods, boosting skills transfer, enhancing food security, and building resilience through sustainable agriculture. President Nandi-Ndaitwah also reiterated that agriculture remains Priority Area 1 under the Sixth National Development Plan (NDP 6), highlighting its role as a foundation for inclusive economic growth and job creation through value addition.
