President Nandi-Ndaitwah attends 41st Africa America Institute Gala Dinner

Windhoek, Sept 22 — Africa is embarking on a new era of business that embraces investment while emphasizing fairness, responsibility, and benefits for its people. During the 41st Annual Awards Gala Dinner of the Africa America Institute (AAI), President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah and Mozambican President Daniel Francisco Chapo participated in a panel discussion moderated by AAI President Felicia Appenteng.

Both leaders affirmed their countries’ openness to business, citing reforms that facilitate investor engagement in sectors such as tourism, oil and gas, agriculture, renewable energy, and logistics. However, they made it clear that this openness does not equate to unrestricted access. Investors are expected to adhere to legal frameworks, respect national laws, and ensure that local communities benefit directly through job creation, skills transfer, and long-term opportunities.

President Nandi-Ndaitwah also emphasized Namibia’s longstanding partnership with AAI, which has supported Namibians over the years, resulting in over 350 alumni contributing across key sectors. She noted that this partnership demonstrates the transformative power of education and opportunity when they come together.
