YAOUNDE, Aug. 29 — At least 10 Cameroonian soldiers were injured in a Boko Haram attack in the country’s Far North region, local and security sources reported Thursday. The soldiers were traveling from Gouzda to Zamga Wednesday when their convoy of pickup vehicles was ambushed, a military source told Xinhua. Images shared by local police showed three vehicles completely burned out. According to local media reports, 10 soldiers were injured in the attack, with three others reported missing. Of the injured soldiers, four are in critical condition, said a military source. There were no reports of casualties among the Boko Haram militants. Boko Haram has been active in the region since 2014, frequently carrying out attacks on security forces and civilians.
