Let the Journey Begin: Diplomacy met opportunity in Philadelphia as President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah engaged with U.S. leaders at a distinguished cocktail reception hosted by Frank Giordano, Businessman and Honorary Consul of Malta for Pennsylvania. The event was attended by the Governors of Pennsylvania and Delaware, U.S. business executives and financiers, diplomats, and senior government representatives.
In her remarks, the President emphasized Namibia’s peace, stability, and modern infrastructure as a strong foundation for investment. She highlighted the potential of Namibia’s youthful population, with over 75% under the age of 35, and invited partners to bring technology, transfer skills, and create jobs in collaboration with the government.
President Nandi-Ndaitwah also reaffirmed Namibia’s commitment to renewable energy, food security, and agro-industrial development, reflecting on lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, she encouraged strengthening ties with the Philadelphia region, which is home to one of the largest fresh produce markets in the United States.
