President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah today visited the Kenyan High Commission in Windhoek, where she signed the condolence book in honour of the late Right Honourable Raila Amolo Odinga.
The President reflected on the longstanding friendship between Namibia and Kenya, noting that “Namibia and Kenya have a long relationship, and the late Raila Odinga played his part in this relationship.”
President Nandi-Ndaitwah recalled Kenya’s unwavering solidarity during Namibia’s liberation struggle and its continued support after independence, highlighting the deep historical ties that bind the two nations.
“Kenya’s support was instrumental in helping Namibia establish its post-independence governance structures. The passing of Raila Odinga is a great loss to Kenya and the people of Namibia,” the President stated.
