The 2025 Nedbank for Good Series finale and prizegiving ceremony will take place on 3 October 2025 at Omeya Golf Club, featuring 25 finalists competing for top honours. The event starts at 10:30 AM, bringing together Namibia’s best amateur golfers for a day of intense competition while supporting a worthy cause.
The prizegiving ceremony is scheduled for 6:00 PM the same day, where the winners will be announced alongside the total funds raised this year for the beneficiary, Agra ProVision.
Finalists are winners from Nedbank for Good regional events, highlighting the series’ broad national reach and its mission to promote golf across Namibia. Top players from regions including Omeya, Oranjemund, Gobabis, Okahandja, Mariental, Oshakati, Grootfontein, Outjo, Henties Bay, Swakopmund, Walvis Bay, and Windhoek will compete, promising a thrilling final showdown.
Dan Zwiebel, series organiser, expressed pride in the event’s growth and community impact. “This year is special. After raising 1 million Namibian dollars last year, we added three new venues, reaching all 13 registered golf courses in Namibia for the first time,” he said. Zwiebel also highlighted how local communities have become deeply invested in the series, with towns preparing their golf courses and fostering an uplifting atmosphere.
Final preparations are underway to ensure a memorable experience for all finalists, who will enjoy VIP treatment including complimentary accommodation and transport.
The Nedbank for Good Series continues to make a strong impact within Namibia’s golfing community and charitable causes, cementing its importance on the national calendar. Nedbank Namibia’s Chief Commercial Officer, JG van Graan, congratulated the finalists, stating, “Your dedication and skill have brought you here. We are proud of every one of you — you are all winners in our eyes.”
He emphasized the charitable impact of the series, noting that proceeds will support Agra ProVision, an organisation that provides essential training and services to underserved agricultural communities. “This reflects our commitment to making a real difference in Namibian lives through sustainable development,” van Graan added.
Celebrating its sixth year, the Nedbank for Good Series has surpassed fundraising goals and made history by reaching all 13 registered golf courses nationwide. This success reflects strong partnerships, with Nedbank Namibia as the title sponsor and support from cosponsors including Autohaus Windhoek, Vivo Energy, AfricaOnline, Agra, B2Gold, Gondwana Collection Namibia, JTC Namibia, King Price, Pupkewitz Megabuild, Town Lodge Windhoek, and WV Manufacturing. Future Media serves as the official media partner.
