Windhoek, Nov 07 – The Namibia Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) marked a major achievement by presenting its 2024/2025 Integrated Annual Report to the Honourable Minister of Works and Transport, Hon. Veikko Nekundi, on 6 November 2025.
The report highlighted a year of outstanding financial recovery and operational successes, reinforcing NCAA’s role as a leader in regulatory excellence, safety oversight, and service delivery innovation.
NCAA Board Chairperson, Mr. Bethuel T. Mujetenga, delivered the Chairperson’s Report, noting an unqualified audit opinion that underscores the Authority’s robust governance and financial discipline. He revealed that the operational loss drastically reduced to N$1 million from N$8 million the previous year, while the overall profit surged to N$52 million from N$25 million.
The balance sheet showed a 66% increase in total assets to N$1 billion, fueled by strategic investments and asset transfers solidifying NCAA’s commitment to financial stability, one of the five pillars of its Five-Year Integrated Strategic Business Plan (2023/24–2027/28). The other pillars include safety and security oversight, enhancement of air navigation services, a focus on customer-centricity, and organizational culture transformation.
Major infrastructure upgrades continue, including the procurement and deployment of new Radar, Air Traffic Management (ATM), and Wide Area Multilateration/Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast (WAM/ADS-B) systems in the Windhoek Flight Information Region.
Mr. Mujetenga expressed heartfelt thanks to the Ministry of Works and Transport for its ongoing support and praised the Executive Board, Director, management, and staff for their dedication to maintaining Namibia’s global aviation safety standards.
“Through sound governance, financial prudence, and unwavering commitment to safety, the NCAA remains a trusted regulator, listening, connecting, and building trust across Namibia’s skies,” he affirmed.
