Her Excellency Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah will officially visit Luanda, Angola, on Tuesday, 11 November 2025, to attend Angola’s 50th Independence Anniversary celebrations. She accepted the invitation from His Excellency João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, President of Angola.
Namibia and Angola share a deep historical bond, rooted in their common struggle for liberation, solidarity, and mutual support. The two countries continue to strengthen their partnership based on Pan-African unity, peace, and development.
Bilateral cooperation is growing in key areas such as trade, energy, education, security, and cross-border initiatives that benefit citizens in both countries.
Dr. Nandi-Ndaitwah’s participation in this Golden Jubilee highlights Namibia’s enduring friendship with Angola and commitment to regional integration and prosperity within the Southern African Development Community.
She will be accompanied by the First Gentleman and senior government officials and is expected to return to Namibia after the celebrations.
