The Namibian Cabinet took note of the unfortunate case of reported death of 16 people and hospitalization of other family members at Kayova village, Ndiyona constituency, Kavango East Region, and expressed its sympathies for the catastrophic loss. The Government will cover burial assistance and provision of food through the office of the prime minister.
The Namibia Government will furthermore provide psycho-social support to the bereaved family. The Ministry of Health and Social Services, Gender Equality and Poverty Eradicating and have directed to stop the sale of dried sedimentation product.
