Namibia – Namib Desert Diamonds (Pty) Ltd (NAMDIA), a cutting-edge rough diamond marking and sales company, had the distinct honor of hosting Her Excellency Madam Monica Geingos, First Lady of the Republic of Namibia, to their headquarters on Tuesday, 20 June 2023. The visit provided an opportunity for NAMDIA to present an overview of the company, highlight its exceptional performance, and emphasize its crucial role in contributing to the socio-economic upliftment of Namibians, through its Corporate Social Investment arm, The NAMDIA Foundation.
During the visit, Her Excellency Madam Geingos was presented with the opportunity to immerse herself in an enlightening encounter with the world of diamonds. As part of her visit, she received an in-depth briefing that encompassed every aspect of NAMDIA’s operations, including its notable achievements and future strategic objectives.
The interactive session enabled Madam Geingos who is a product of a mining town to personally experience the allure of diamonds, gaining firsthand insights into the remarkable journey of rough diamonds. This immersive encounter provided a unique perspective on NAMDIA’s unwavering dedication to driving positive change and making a profound impact on society.
The engaging and interactive nature of the session ensured that Madam Geingos was able to fully grasp the magnitude of NAMDIA’s contributions, reinforcing her understanding of NAMDIA’s vital role in shaping the diamond sector’s future. The visit served as a testament to
the company’s commitment to excellence, fostering transparency, innovation and creating a positive lasting legacy in Namibia and the diamond industry.

NAMDIA donated a 65-inch smart TV and desktop computer worth collectively N$ 60 000.00 to the One Economy Foundation for the #Befree Youth Campus that is currently under construction in Katutura.
