MTC appoints Hiwilepo as the new board Chairperson

Windhoek, Feb 17 — MTC Board of Directors have announced the appointment of Mr. Trophimus Hiwilepo, an independent non- executive director of the Company since July 2024, as the new Chairperson of the Board of Directors, with effect from 13 February 2026.
His appointment follows the announcement published on 25 November 2025, wherein shareholders were informed of the untimely passing of Mr. Theofelus Mberirua, the previous Chairperson of the MTC Board.
Mr. Trophimus Hiwilepo’s appointment is in accordance with section 3.59 of the Namibia Securities Exchange Listings Requirements and Article 88 of the Articles of Association. His appointment illustrates the Board’s confidence in Mr Hiwilepo’s leadership skills, business experience and his passion for Namibia’s digital transformation, making him well placed to lead the Board and to add value to the
strategic direction and growth of MTC’s for the benefit of all stakeholders.
The Board further extends its heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Mercia Geises, who has been Acting Chairperson over the past few months, for her exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment to the Company.
Shareholders are advised that further announcements will be made once the process of filling the vacancies has been completed. The Board, however, remains properly constituted in terms of the Company’s Articles of Association and can continue to perform and exercise its fiduciary obligations effectively.
