Inflation hits Biltong prices in Namibia

Windhoek, Oct 13 — According to the latest statistics released by Namibia Statistics Agency, the latest inflation report reveals that in September 2025 consumers in the Northern Regions Namely: Zambezi, Kavango East, Kavango West, Oshana, Omusati, Oshikoto, Ohangwena, Otjozondjupa and Kunene regions paid about N$150 more than the regions in central and southern part of the country. The Northern regions paid the highest price for biltong at N$568.16 per kg, Central region, Khomas region paid around N$532.93 per kg, while Southern Regions such as Karas, Hardap paid the lowest at N$416.51 per Kg. Erongo Region and Omaheke Region also fall under Zone 3 at N$416.51 per kg. The northern regions inflation rate stands at 3.8%, Central Region at 3.2%, while the coastal region and the southern regions stand at 3.4%. The Annual inflation rate for the Namibia Consumer price stood at 3.5% in September 2025.
