Everton sign forward Danjuma on loan from Villarreal

   LONDON, July 23 -- Everton have signed Dutch international winger Arnaut Danjuma on a season's loan from Spanish La Liga side Villarreal.
   It is the second time Everton tried to sign the forward after agreeing terms with the 26-year-old in January, only for him to opt to make what turned out to be a disappointing spell with Tottenham.
   Danjuma explained that the main reason for his late change of mind was that in January, Everton were in turmoil after sacking Frank Lampard as coach, with current boss Sean Dyche not appointed until a week later.
   "I know I did not move to the Club in January, that was because there was some uncertainty over the manager situation at that time, but I think it makes it even more beautiful for me to join now. I am very grateful to be at the Club and I can't wait to play in front of the fans as well," he said in declarations published on the Everton website.
   "I am very eager to perform and very determined to contribute to the entire club. There's no vein in my body that doubts my quality, and I'm very determined to now show that for the Evertonians."
   "I had interest from other clubs but there was a pull towards Everton because of the fans, the manager and the history of the club. It is second time lucky for me," he said.
