Windhoek, July 26 – The 5th SADC Youth Forum is underway in Gaborone, Botswana it is a major annual gathering for young people from SADC member states. The three days event which started from 25-27 July 2023 is hosted under the theme: Accelerating Regional Integration & Youth Participation in African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). It offers an opportunity for youth to connect, collaborate, and exchange ideas with like-minded individuals. The forum focuses on addressing crucial issues affecting young people in the Southern Africa region and aims to promote sustainable youth inclusion and empowerment. By developing innovative strategies and solution-oriented approaches, the forum contributes to youth development and leadership, while also influencing policy-making processes. The event comprises thematic sessions based on SAYoF Clusters and regional policy frameworks.
