Windhoek, June 17 – The Government of the Republic of Namibia today announced that the 2025 Heroes Day Commemoration will be hosted in the Zambezi Region.” The Government of the Republic of Namibia is pleased to announce that the 35th Heroes’ Day commemoration will take place in the Zambezi Region on Tuesday, 26 August 2025.”
Heroes’ Day is annual event that marks the beginning of Namibia’s liberation struggle at Omugulumbashe in 1966 and serves as a reminder for all Namibians to reflect on the sacrifices made in pursuit of freedom and independence.
