Windhoek, April 2 — Minister of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sport, Arts and Culture met with staff members of the newly merged ministry for a meet and greet session at Eros Primary School in Windhoek. The Minister believes that the decision to merge the various ministries into one stem from a profound understanding that Education, Innovation, Youth, Sport, Arts and Culture are inseparable and inextricably linked.
Steenkamp said, ”The formation of the Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sport, Arts and Culture brings together several crucial sectors that shape the foundation of our society. Education forms the foundation of our development, while innovation and technology open up a whole new world, pushing us forward. Our youth represent the promise of the now, the present and the future, while sports industry foster discipline and national pride. And of course, the creative industries serve as a reflection of our cultural identity, heritage and entrepreneurial spirit.”
The Minister urges her team to work as unity as no single entity within the Ministry can function effectively in Isolation. The Head boy of Eros Primary School in his welcoming remarks thank the newly appointed Minister for her outstanding work in the ministry when she was the Executive Director of the Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture and also wish her and her deputy all the best for their respective role as the Minister and Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sport, Arts and Culture.”Honourable Minister your dedication and hard work as the Executive Director of Education have already made a remarkable impact on our country’s education system.
