Rundu, April 7-On Friday, 05 April 2024 at 18:38 at Mupapama village on Trans Caprivi Highway, Rundu district
Kavango East Region. It is alleged that the male driver, aged 28, of a dark blue Toyota Vox, 7
seaters station wagon was traveling from west to eastern direction when he lost control of the
motor vehicle and it left the tar road, bumped into trees before it came to a standstill killing two
(2) passengers on the spot and injured four (4) others slightly. It is further alleged that one of the
passengers grabbed the steering wheel, resulting the driver to lose control of the vehicle. All the
victims were rushed to Rundu hospital for medical attention and are in stable conditions.
Deceased’s bodies were taken to Rundu hospital mortuary. Only one deceased was identified. The
next of kin is not yet informed. Police investigation continues.
