Namibia Launches Volume 5 of Namibia Investment Guide on Tax Law

Windhoek, September 4, 2026 — The Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB), in partnership with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), today launched Volume 5 of the Namibia Investment Guide: Tax Law in Namibia, a publication aimed at providing investors with practical information on Namibia’s tax framework.

Speaking at the launch in Windhoek, NIPDB Acting Chief Executive Officer Julia Muetudhana said the fifth volume is designed to help diversify Namibia’s investment landscape by providing clear and actionable intelligence to both domestic and international investors.

She described the guide as a premier investment resource that offers local and international stakeholders practical information to assist them in navigating Namibia’s tax environment and making informed investment decisions.

According to Muetudhana, access to reliable and understandable tax information is important in creating a more predictable investment environment and supporting Namibia’s efforts to attract and retain investment.

Representing the Namibia Revenue Agency (NamRA), Nadine du Preez said the guide could help reduce perceived risks associated with investing in Namibia while encouraging both domestic investment and foreign direct investment.

She emphasised that tax law and effective tax administration are fundamental to economic stability and good governance, noting that NamRA plays a central role in ensuring an effective tax system.

“Tax law and effective tax administration are the cornerstone of economic stability and good governance,” du Preez said, highlighting the role of NamRA in administering Namibia’s tax system.

PwC Country Senior Partner Chantel Husselman said a strong tax system depends on sound policies, fair administration and a shared culture of compliance.

She noted that good tax policies go beyond simply raising revenue to fund government programmes and the broader economy.

The launch of Volume 5 comes as Namibia continues to position itself as an attractive investment destination by improving the availability of investment information and strengthening the regulatory environment.

The Namibia Investment Guide: Tax Law in Namibia – Volume 5 is expected to serve as a practical reference for investors seeking to better understand Namibia’s tax obligations, incentives and broader tax environment.
