Tanzania eyes more global investment, tourism to boost growth: president

DAR ES SALAAM, Aug. 6 — Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan on Wednesday invited global investors and tourists to explore the country’s vast economic opportunities and rich natural and cultural attractions.

Speaking at the joint opening of the Africa50 General Shareholders Meeting and the Infra for Africa Forum in the commercial hub of Dar es Salaam, Hassan said that Tanzania offers a unique blend of tourism experiences and investment potential supported by a conducive business environment. Tanzania is ready to deepen partnerships with the Africa50 investment platform, investors and other stakeholders committed to advancing infrastructure development and economic integration across Africa, the president noted.

She added that the government will continue improving the business climate to attract more investment, promote sustainable economic growth and strengthen the country’s position in key sectors, including tourism and infrastructure.
