TEHRAN, July 19 — An explosion sound was heard in Abadan of southwestern Iran’s Khuzestan province, state-run IRIB TV said on social media platform X, without elaborating. Abadan, home to Iran’s oldest oil refinery and bordering Iraq, has been targeted in U.S. strikes earlier this week.
